ABOUT ME

Interests

My interests in model airplanes are varied. They range from giant scale R/C to rubber powered freeflight. I am most active now in SAM rubber competition and plan to expand my interest into SAM ignition free-flight. I also enjoy 1/4A and 1/2A Nostalgia. Below are some of my rubber models.

Above are my rubber fleet and my stick rubber models.

Above is probably my favorite rubber model of a 40's Clipper Jr. rubber model. It is complete with a replica ignition engine in the front and a ratchet noise maker to replicate the sound of an ignition motor. The ad for the original model in the 40's read, "All the thrills of gas in a rubber model".

Above is a picture of my Kansas Wakefield designed by Ernie Lynn. This model was SAM's special rubber model of 1998.

Organizations

I belong to the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics), SAM (Society of Antique Modelers), and SAM Chapter 59.
